Zoodles and Shrimp
I have a new found love and his name is ZOODLES. Now I have been flirting with zoodles for some time now but never got serious, until now. We are in LOVE and it feels so good. It feels so right.
So as you all know, I had a Ninja blender that I totally loved. I had it for around four years and was thinking of upgrading over the holiday season. Well I must have said that too loud and offended my Ninja Blender because one day out of the blue it just stopped working. Seriously, I'm getting everything ready to make a protein shake and it wouldn't turn on. I tried every outlet in the kitchen and nothing,
To say the very least I was DEVASTATED. I almost cried, I had an old school blender that I used that day but it just wasn't the same. Granted I was looking to upgrade but I still had research and pricing to do so I totally wasn't ready. That just meant that I would have to go with out smoothies and protein shakes for a while. Let me tell you, it felt like forever.
With the holidays fast approach, I dropped hints to just about everyone that my dear blender broke and needed a new one. I had no shame LOL. And Low and Below guess what I got for Christmas ... A New NINJA BLENDER SYSTEM. That's right. The Whole system. (I will go into full details another time but just know it is amazing).
As part of they blender system, there was a bonus gift of a auto spiralizer. I thought I really hit the jack pot with this one. Like I said, I am no stranger to zoodles but cranking them out by hand gets old fast. So I was super excited to have an auto spiralizer. I put that thing to work in no time. One of my fist dishes was zoodles and shrimp with sauteed garlic and ginger. It was delish. So of course I had to share.
Let's Get Started ...
handful of shrimp
2 cloves of garlic
1 medium piece of ginger
teaspoon of butter (for flavor, optional)
Here's What You Do:
Heat up your pan on the stove. Cut off the ends of the zucchini and use your spiralizer to make it into noodles. Then set aside. Mince the garlic and the ginger. Then set to the side. In the heated pan, add some olive oil and allow it to heat up. If you are using butter as well add now. Once the oil/butter is heated add in the garlic and ginger and allow to cook through. once the garlic starts to brown its time to add the shrimp in. Once the shrimp is pink on both sides add the zoodles to your pan as well. Toss everything together to mix and to warm the zoodles. Now its time to EAT
