Saying Bye-Bye to FAT
So spring is 100% here and because time has gone by so freaking fast, we may not be exactly were we want to be with our goals. I know I’m not >_<. There have been so many things going on that some days it was hard to just take a moment to collect my thoughts. Its been beyond crazy !!
I know that I have been missing but it has been for good reason. Within the last few months, my life has been turned upside down. I have had some many “new” things happen that it took some real adjustment time just to get a handle on it all. Which meant that my fitness and health goals went all the way to the back burner.
Now I don’t want you to think that I went all crazy and was sitting around the house eating fast food for every meal. That was DEFINITELY not the case at all. But my gym time was down to zero, my physical activity was to a serious minimum, and my eating habits were not the best. My goals were non-existent.
Even though I wasn’t doing much to keep on track, I didn’t go buck wild with anything. Yes, I let my emotions during this time get the best of me. Yes, I may have had one to many cookies. Yes, I make have baked way to often (leading me to eat to many cookies). But, I never gave up or lost sight of what I wanted to achieve.
See, during all of this, I was completely honest with myself and knew all of the consequences of my actions. That is something we must do and remember at all times. TO BE HONEST. We need to be honest about how we are feeling. We need to be honest about what we are really doing. And we need to be honest about the consequences of our actions. WITH OURSELVES.
When we are finally honest about things, its makes everything so much easier. My life has been completely shaken up. And some days it was just easier to tell everyone I was fine, but I had to be real with myself and admit that things were really horrible and I needed help figuring things out. Luckily I have a great support system, so when I was ready to have those conversations, they were there with a listening ear.
This all made it so much easier to recognize the self-sabotage that I was doing and even easier to get back on track once I as done processing it all.
