We are no strangers to stressful times. Stressful days are a constant reminder that your an adult. If it isn’t one thing its another. And when your stress levels are so high, it seems like the smallest things send us to our tipping point. Most days by the time i get home I am completely fired and feel like I cant take it anymore, then I hit my toe on the sofa or bed. Then I’m like “that’s it, I’m having cookies for dinner!!”
I had a stressful day and I feel that I deserve to indulge in something that is going to bring joy to my heart and put a smile on my face like only fresh baked cookies will. And I am totally right. You know the day that I am talking about. The one that has been completely hectic and then you get home thinking its all over but you drop your keys trying to open the door to your house. And that is the straw that breaks the camels back and you have a complete melt down. I’m talking about those days. You know the one.
Yes, these days take it ALL out of you. You are completely DRAINED by clock out time and you can’t wait to get in your car and be alone with with some good music, your fave podcast or talk radio. You dream of sitting on the sofa watching your fave show with a tall glass of wine and your fave food. It’s time to unwind.
