Self LOVE and Joy



With everything going on in the world today, its hard to remember to take a minute for ourselves. Don't feel bad about that. It happens to everyone. We get so caught up in our days and work that some days we forget to eat. We are always on the GO. All we think about is deadlines and meetings. We find ourselves penciling in hanging out with friends and at the end of the day when all is said and done, we're EXHAUSTED. 

With everything thing that is going on at my job I am work close to 10 hrs a day 6 days a week. Yes you read that right. I am now working SATURDAYS. For at least the last two weeks, by the time I get home all I want to do is fall asleep on the sofa. I'm not even interested in making it to the bed because that means I have to walk further. 






I have been COMPLETELY drained, mentally and physically. And that isn't adding on all the stress and pressure from meeting this crazy deadlines, which is draining me emotionally. 

I got to the point where I just couldn't do it anymore. I needed some serious ME TIME. And not that fake stuff that I find myself doing where I go to my bedroom to unwind and relax but I bring work with me. So now I'm sitting in my bed pretending to watch TV while I plan that next day and write down the next days schedule of emails to answer/send and notes for deadlines and projects. 

I finally decided to get SUPER serious about taking care of ME. And to make sure that I don't fall short of the task, I have started a MONTHLY CHALLENGE OF SELF LOVE. As well as dedicated this month to the focus WELLNESS. As to Kick things off, here are some simple tips to bring JOY to your life 



Simple Guide To Joy 

Take a deep breath

Have glass of water 

Close your eyes 


Skip instead of walking 


Put your hand on your heart 

Give yourself more credit 

Think of something youre looking to find 

Look at the sky 

Thinks about what is worrying you 

Try a new thought
