Summer Food for Weight Loss

It is no secret at this point that I LOVE to eat. It is really an issue that I am working on, but I struggle with it every day all the time. The worst part is that my job ALWAYS has food around. They celebrate EVERYTHING. Then even offer catered lunches on Fridays. I know that you are thinking that this must be the best job ever. It has it upsides, but the down fall is none of the food even begins to fall in the category of healthy. NOTHING. They don’t offer any type of fruit or veggies (unless it’s mixed in something else). The have a vending machines that gives free soda ALL DAY. No water or fruit juice, just junk.

This makes it very hard for me. It’s like a giant cheat day at my job. Temptation is around every corner, literally. I have to keep blinders on all the time to stay focused. The break room always has pastries and treats and people occasionally bake and bring things in. Let’s not even talk about the holidays. You might as well throw the healthy eating out the window. I feel like I gain weight just looking at the food.

I have been working EXTRA to make sure that I achieve my goals, I won’t let all the temptations get in my way. Things have been going really good. I have been making great progress. But I still LOVE food. So to make up for the temptations of my LOVE, I have had to get creative with the different types of food that I eat. The best part about this is that I still get to eat, and being that I am eating healthy I don’t have to feel bad. I get to eat all these amazing healthy food and not have to worry one bit.
