As we continue to focus on showing ourselves some love and taking care of home, things will continue to get better in our lives. Granted we may think that because we have some many other things going on in life that we can’t take time to take care of ourselves, but that’s simply not true. Something as small as taking 30 minutes to an hour to just take a mental break can be the best thing that happens to us that day.

These little things that we do each day to promote self-love will get us in the habit of making sure that our mental and emotional health are taken into consideration. We need to pay more attention to our wellness and well-being. So let’s get into this week.

Day 8: Clean out your bed room (rearrange it or redecorate it)

Redecorating my room has been something that I wanted to do for quite some time. So when the opportunity came to do it as part of this challenge I couldn’t have been happier. I made sure to change the sheets and get a new bed spread accompanied by new pillows and bright colors. Adding some small decorated pieces to the room really brought it together. I love the new look.

Day 9: Re-read a favorite book

Re-reading a book was actually the hardest task of all. But I flipped this a little by making sure that I took the time to read up on a couple of articles and research material that I had been putting off for some time. It was great to get this done.

Day 10: Begin a good habit

I am a true lover of yoga. With everything going on and being super busy all the time, I haven’t been able to practice much for a long time. I am taking the opportunity to make sure that I add yoga back to my week workouts.

Day 11: Write out all of your feelings for the day

Writing out my feelings all day long has been a really great release. It has been wonderful to be able to get it all out. This is something that I want to continue in the future.

Day 12: Be open to forgiveness

Forgiveness is a hard thing, but the thing about forgiveness is that it isn’t for the other person but for us. Forgiveness allows us to release those emotions that are holding us. So I am learning to forgive all so that I can move on with my life.

Day 13: Ask for advice on something you have been struggling with

A little secret that product creation has been my Achilles’ heal the past couple of days, but being able to turn to a friend to brainstorm and share ideas has truly been the best experience. I can’t wait to share all the ideas that we have come up with.

Day 14: Take a bubble bath or a long shower

What a wonderful treat that something so fab would be on a Friday. The best thing about this is that I have some new candles and a bunch of shows downloaded to my tablet. It’s going to be a wonderful night.
