7 Foods You Shouldn’t Eat Before a Workout

Great News … I am back on track and doing better than ever. So, I will pat myself on the back one time for getting my life back. Not only that, but I had an amazing weekend. I was able to get everything on my To-Do list done and even able to get a head to do some things that I wanted to do later in the week. I really hope you wasn’t waiting for me to say I went places and did things and say people over the weekend. LOL. Yea, No, that didn’t happen at all. I got things done this weekend. And that’s a million times better than running the street and spending money I don’t have. I got my priorities in order this weekend. That is the most important thing anyone could ever do.

Not to get on my soap box again, cause I’m sure your tired of it, but I feel really far last week. Trying to play catch up was no joke. So, I made a promise to myself that I wasn’t going to let that happen again. Friday, I got ALL my list together. I wrote it all down, everything that I need to do over the weekend to make sure I got order and kept it. Boy, did I tackle that list like none other. I made things HAPPEN these past two days. I am so proud of myself. Not only did I get weekend taken care of, but I was able to put things in order to make sure my week went smoothly.

Of course, there was the meal prep and the workout schedule, but I was also able to get personal and business things in order. Got all my planners taken care of (looking at the week past in my planners, it was easy to see why I feel off so bad, they were almost blank *insert sad face*).  I am super organized and ready to take on the week ahead. I got this … I got it MADE

As mentioned, I did make sure to get my workout schedule and meal prep in order ASAP. That winging it thing that I did last week was for the birds. Freaking for the BIRDS. I got classes to take and weights to lift. I can’t be out here working out all willy nilly like that. Looking that it’s my first time at a gym that I been going to for years, wasn’t a good look for me. They won’t catch me slipping this week though. I got it all planned out.

I started working out at my office gym (which was such a process to get access to but that’s another story *side eye*), I have my zumba class, I have my cardio dance classes, and some good old fashions weight lifting. By no means am I going to pretend that I hitting the weights like the big boys, but I do hold my own when it comes to the benches and the free weights. Most times I prefer free weights over the machines because you know that it’s all you putting in the effort.

Now of course with all the extra time I accumulated getting things done, I was able to get some tips and tricks for the week. So, in two parts, I have come up with some foods to stay clear of before you head to the gym and begin your workout. Here is part one below:

  1. Leafy Greens
