Oh Happy Day

The best way to become successful at something is to create a habit. Rumor has it that it takes 21 days to create a habit. Granted, I’m only on day 16 of my lifestyle change and technically day 4 of my crazy workout regime but I can feel the habits forming already. I have been on a serious mission to get my life turned around and be productive and successful with this lifestyle change.

The best part is it isn’t hard at all. Shopping is easy and so is making it to the gym, but anything is easy when you’re fully committed. For me, the key has been adding variety to everything that I do. I make sure to mix up my workouts by adding group classes as well as weights. When it comes to food I do have some healthy favorites but I always down to read the package and finding some new ideas (most healthy foods have recipes on the packaging).

Keeping in line with the theme of the week, the belly area, I am thinking about taking on the challenge of doing some exercises that focus on that area. Crunches always seem to be the go to of everybody seeking amazing abs, but the truth of the matter is most time they are done wrong and totally ineffective. Some alternatives are Russian twist, flutter kicks, crisscross, hell touches, and the crossover crunch. These are exercises that I love and do often when I’m getting ready for swimsuit season. With some good cardio, you’re set to go.

As promised, here are a couple of other foods that you can add to your plate that will help out that stubborn belly fat:

Belly Fat Foods

  1. Fennel Seeds
  2. Salmon
  3. Eggs
  4. Olive Oil
  5. Asparagus
  6. Whole Grains
  7. Bananas
  8. Greek yogurt
  9. Cucumbers
  10. Water
